Acrylic on Illustration Board, original painting, mounted behind glass, in a red-wood frame with pale yellow matt board. Late in the evening of August 25th, 1940, Australian ace John Curchin (609 SQN RAF) claimed destruction of a Bf 109E-1, III Gruppe, JG 2 off the coast of England in Spitfire Mk.I, PR-L, R6699.
